Biography:
We moved to Covered Bridge in November 2004 from San Marcos. We absolutely love our community and have been active in various forms from committee membership to participation in social events. I work at Cisco Systems as service provider segment lead for our security consulting services by providing global strategic direction, consulting services and project management to team members and customers. Outside of work and community involvement, my wife and I use up most of our time being with our children. What is left, I like grilling, poker, biking, hiking, History/Science channel, some programming and playing computer games. As a board member, I will work and help with the transition from developer lead POA, provide/develop a framework so that all of our committees are in the position to work successfully, and to have a POA that meets our needs while being transparent and responsive.
Mike Conner

Biography:
Mike Conner and his wife Marla have lived in Covered Bridge since May 2006 after selling their home in Westlake where they
lived for the previous 18 years. They have two grown sons. Both have lived in Austin since the 70’s. Mike has been a REALTOR for over 27 years with experience in every aspect of real estate. Marla has a MBA from UT.
Mike was selected by the board to replace the retiring secretary, Chris Spears, whose term expired in 2011. He also chairs
the Annexation/ Acquisition Committee.
Though active in neighborhood associations in the past this is his first time as a member of the board.
Mike along with his wife Marla are also very active in neighborhood social events and attend couples night out, ladies/guys night out, poker, bunco, book club and recipe swap. Mike enjoys poker, biking (both kinds), hiking, fishing, dancing and live music.

William A. Dabbert
Covered Bridge POA Secretary

Biography:
William Dabbert and his wife Patricia have lived in Covered Bridge since May 2004. He retired in July 2006 as the Deputy Director for Internal Affairs with the Health and Human Service Commission, Office of Inspector General, and has been working on several projects since his retirement. He has over 22 years management experience with several state agencies which involved internal affairs and criminal and administrative fraud investigations. Mr. Dabbert has a BA from Indiana University and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Welfare Fraud Association and the United Council on Welfare Fraud.
William is from Michigan City, Indiana and moved to Austin over 25 years ago. He has a son who lives in Alvin, Texas and is married with a 9 year old stepson. His wife, Patricia, has a son who lives in Long Beach, California and is married with three sons, age 14, 3 and the youngest is 3 months old.
William was elected to the Covered Bridge Property Owners Association Board in April 2008 for a one year term and was elected as President at the same time he joined the Board. He served on the Schedule of Fines, Modifications and the Security Committee. He looks forward to applying his management experience in this new position and welcomes your input into the POA’s issues and ways to improve the neighborhood.
